Snoop Dogg has been enlisted for halftime of the Lions-Vikings Christmas Day game, Netflix announced Tuesday.
"Snoop's Holiday Halftime Party" will take over the midpoint of the broadcast on Dec. 25, offering "chart-topping tracks, plenty of holiday spirit, and special guests," Netflix said in a release.
"NFL, Netflix and your uncle Snoop on Christmas Day? We're servin' up music, love and good vibes for the whole world to enjoy. That's the kind of holiday magic Santa can't fit in a bag,” Snoop Dogg said in a statement.
A teaser video, narrated by funk icon George Clinton, accompanied the announcement.
The game, which is being held at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, is set to air on the streaming network at 4:30 p.m. on Dec. 25. It follows the 1 p.m. game between the Dallas Cowboys and the Washington Commanders, which will be kicked off with Kelly Clarkson singing her holiday hit "Underneath the Tree," Netflix has announced.
In 2024, Beyoncé headlined the halftime show of Netflix's Christmas day broadcast with her "Beyoncé Bowl," which went on to win an Emmy for its costumes.
Last month, the Detroit Lions shook the world with the halftime show at their annual Thanksgiving Day game at Ford Field, when Eminem joined Jack White for the pair's first-ever on-stage collaboration.
