Rory Culkin says the love he has for his baby daughter outweighs the challenges of parenthood.

The 37-year-old actor and his 38-year-old partner, cinematographer Kate Arizmendi, welcomed their first child together, Havoc Moon, in May, and although he relishes being a dad, fatherhood has given him a new perspective on life.

Rory explained to People: "Fatherhood has been lovely. Really such a pleasure. I mean, everyone was telling me how difficult it is - and it is - but that's outweighed so much by the love."

He added: "Certain movies will hit harder now. Having a child introduces you to time, and now everything just feels a little heavier. I mean, when I have to say goodbye to her, I get choked up on the train … there's just more gravity now, you know?"

The Nocturne star's brothers, actors Macaulay Culkin, 46, and Kieran Culkin, 44, are also parents.

Kieran and his wife Jazz Charton are parents to daughter Kinsey, seven, son Wilder, five, and a second son, who was born in 2025 and name has not been publicly revealed, while Macaulay has sons Dakota, five, and Carson, three, with his 38-year-old fiancée, actress Brenda Song.

And they told Rory one thing about raising a child before Havoc arrived.

He said: "Their advice was, 'You'll figure it out. Everyone does … So, you know, just don't worry.'"

The Scre4m alum recently told Entertainment Tonight that welcoming Havoc has also meant that he has regained something of a "throne" in his family.

Rory laughed: "I was always kind of mad because I've always been the youngest Culkin - until they started having kids.

"But now I have the youngest Culkin, so I reclaim the throne!"

Havoc was born on May 23, and Kate took to her Instagram Stories the following day to announce her birth.

Kate posted an adorable shot of their bundle of joy sleeping with the caption: "Her in the womb while I'm screaming System of a Down. We're so in love with you."

In a second story, Kate uploaded a photo of her and Rory's daughter looking wide-eyed into the camera, with the caption: "15 mins after pushing her out and so alert and excited about life already.

"Also hello girl baby Rory."

And in a third story, Kate posted a shot of Rory cradling Havoc whilst sitting in a chair, with the caption: "Best papa."

In January, Kate announced her pregnancy on Instagram, and she edited the caption to include Havoc's full name and date of birth after she was born.

She uploaded multiple shots, including ones of herself showing off the then-blossoming baby bump and sonogram pictures.

Kate penned alongside the pictures: "My feed (and brain) has been consumed with such negativity and pain in the world that I thought I'd bring some light by announcing how ridiculously excited we are to be living in Havoc's world in a few months.

"We love her. She rules us already. Havoc Moon Alva Culkin 05/24/2026."
