Demi Lovato on reconnecting with Selena Gomez

Demi Lovato thinks it is "really great" to have reconnected with Selena Gomez.
The former Disney Channel stars have known one another for over 27 years and earlier this year publicly reunited for the first time in almost a decade at one of Demi's concerts. Though they haven't been in "constant communication" over the decades, they have always "loved and adored" one another.
Demi, who has teamed up with Selena for a new campaign for her pal's Rare Beauty brand, told America's Elle magazine: "We've been friends since we were seven years old when we met on Barney.
"There have been different chapters throughout our lives, and naturally, friends are in each other's lives heavily at times, and then sometimes you're not in constant communication.
"But Selena is someone that I've always loved and adored. It's really great to be in a place today where we can collaborate on things, but also just hang out and spend time together."
The 34-year-old star - who is married to Jordan 'Jutes' Lutes - recently took a trip down memory lane to watch her and Selena's old vlogs, but she admitted she couldn't watch the "iconic" videos for so long because she felt embarrassed.
She said: "I went on YouTube recently and looked at our vlogs together. I think that was something that really captured our innocence at the time and our drive to have a presence in front of people while still staying true to ourselves.
"It was really cute going down memory lane, and I showed my husband.
"I couldn't stick around for the whole video because I felt so cringe. But they were iconic.
"I was like, 'Okay, you can watch 10 seconds of this.'
"I don't know what I'm doing [in them], but it was really funny and really cute."
Demi and Selena spent years as kids discussing walking down the red carpet together, but when the time finally came for them to pull off the pose they had dreamed of, linking arms at the elbows, their moment at the 2011 Teen Choice Awards didn't quite go as they envisioned.
Demi recalled: "We started laughing because we thought we would look so much cooler than we actually did.
"It was so much better planned in our heads."
