Tiffani Thiessen questioned her career after being overlooked for a Bond girl role.

The 52-year-old actress shot to stardom as Kelly Kapowski on Saved by the Bell, the hit teen sitcom - but Tiffani suffered a major setback when she was overlooked for a role in a James Bond movie.

During an appearance on I've Never Said This Before With Tommy DiDario, Tiffani shared: "I was very close to being a Bond girl. It was super, super hard because I also was a huge James Bond fan."

Tiffani recalled taking a trip to a beach, where she contemplated her acting future.

The TV star said: "That was a really big moment in my life, a very hard sort of rejection that I had.

"I remember questioning my career after that. Like, do I keep going and do I really want to do this? Can I handle rejection like that? I put everything into it."

Tiffani has now encouraged other people facing similar setbacks to "find the joy" in their craft.

The actress said: "I think the drive that I had for it just goes to show you that I still wanted to continue doing it. Like I loved the drive. I loved the opportunity. And so I never gave up. And I still enjoy it to this day."

Tiffani also sarcastically suggested that she could still appear in a Bond movie one day.

She quipped: "Maybe if they're looking for an older lady. You never know."

Meanwhile, Tiffani previously admitted to feeling better at 50 than she did at 40.

The actress revealed that she felt physically better at 50 than she did a decade previously.

Tiffani - who has Harper, 16, and Holt, 11, with her husband Brady Smith - told People: "I was way more nervous about turning 40.

"I think because in my 40s, my focus was still on my children.

"Also there were still a lot of bodily changes from pregnancy, hormones, that kind of stuff. I wasn't able to really give myself any time to put into me."
