FORT WORTH, Texas — A fan favorite “Yellowstone” character will appear on “Marshals.”

CBS announced Wednesday, Sept. 16, that Jefferson White will reprise his role of Jimmy Hurdstrom on “Marshals” Season 2. The Luke Grimes-led series premieres its second go-around on Oct. 4.

White’s Jimmy is the good-hearted yet rough-around-the-edges ranch hand that eventually became a cowboy.

“I’m thrilled to dive into the world of 'Marshals’ and continue exploring the American West,” White said in a press release. “The cast and crew are stacked full of my favorite actors and filmmakers, and I’m honored to join them. Jimmy and I have been through a lot together and I can’t wait to see what’s next for us.”

From ‘Yellowstone’ to ‘Marshals’

White appeared in all five seasons of “Yellowstone.”

Viewers last saw him in the “Yellowstone” series finale working for the Four Sixes Ranch in Texas. CBS has not revealed how Jimmy factors into “Marshals,” since the series takes place in Montana.

Nevertheless, White is the latest actor to reprise his “Yellowstone” role on “Marshals.”

Brecken Merrill returns as Tate Dutton, Mo Brings Plenty is back as Mo and Gil Birmingham reprises his role as Thomas Rainwater.

More on ‘Marshals’

“Marshals” premiered its 13-episode first season in March.

The series was a ratings hit for CBS and the company quickly renewed the project for a second season. Filming on Season 2 began in Utah in June.

In addition to the previously mentioned cast, “Marshals” stars Logan Marshall-Green, Arielle Kebbel, Ash Santos and Tatanka Means.
