A mystery concerning a case of amnesia tops the DVD releases for the week of July 15.

"The Actor": Set sometime in post-WWII America, André Holland stars as Paul, a thespian who awakens in a small-town hospital with no memory of how he got there, in filmmaker Duke Johnson's adaptation of the posthumous Donald E. Westlake novel.

"Technically, the story is a mystery-thriller," writes Los Angeles Times film critic Amy Nicholson in her review. "But really, the core struggle is Paul's inner conflict. He can't decide whether he should stay put in the embrace of a charming local kook, Edna (Gemma Chan), or head back to the city where he suspects he enjoyed a more glamorous life."

"Creeping Death": Horror flick in which a group of young adults unleash a malevolent pagan spirit and suffer the consequences.

"How to Ruin the Holidays": Family dramedy in which a woman returns home for Christmas, replete with family issues and possible catharsis

"Tales of Babylon": Take a thrill ride through the underbelly of London as four assassins unwittingly pursue the same target.

"The Veil": Atmospheric horror movie in which a priest gives refuge to a runaway who may have something to do with the phenomena in the sky.

"Dark Nuns" and "The Priests": Staying with horror flicks of the cloth, the 2015 Korean film "The Priests" concerns two padres performing an exorcism, while the new sequel "Dark Nuns" finds two sisters in a similar situation.

"The Adventures of Antoine Doinel": Criterion set containing five films from French New Wave auteur François Truffaut featuring the titular character: "The 400 Blows," "Stolen Kisses," "Bed and Board," "Love on the Run" and the short "Antoine and Colette."
