Ford makes the long haul and enters Grasso’s Garage with an aesthetically pleasing and proven F-150 Lobo edition pickup truck that is ready for all consumers.

With a 600-mile range on a full tank, our F-150 Lobo tester offered an upgraded 5.0-liter Coyote V-8 engine packed with 400 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque. Paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission, the F-150 Lobo gets up and goes and is smooth.

Wrapped in Oxford White, the Lobo package is an additional $4,695 and includes 22-inch gloss black wheels, an electronic locking rear axle and all-season tires. Our STX Series pickup comes with LED fog lights, black cloth interior and a black and dark gray grill. Upgraded options include a tray style floor liner, mobile office package, 36-gallon fuel tank, SiriusXM and spray-in bedliner for a combined additional $2,630 total.

While the interior is simple and typical Ford, it serves the consumers well with its 12-inch SYNC4 infotainment system. Rear-view camera and parking sensors, selectable drive modes and a host of safety features came standard on our weeklong tester. Standard warranty is a 3-year/36,000 mile bumper to bumper, a 5-year/60,000 mile powertrain, and a 5-year/60,000 mile roadside assistance.

It is no secret that the F-150 is “America’s Truck.” Taking the stripped down STX series with its minimalistic design and throwing the Lobo package on it gives it the exterior flare consumers are looking for in today’s market. Lets face it, all manufacturers have a blacked-out package, replacing chrome highlights with a distinctive black or matte look, and this is Ford’s version. It works well on the Maverick and now on the F-150.
